It's dark, dreary, and rainy today. Typical Portland, I suppose. I have much to do, and am looking for inspiration and/or energy. I'm listing 2 new perfumes today, both fig-based. I love, love, love fig, but have been working to get just the right scents.

Athelia, the first, is extremely dark-woodsy-spicy with a touch of lotus.....not for the faint of heart.

Bartola, the second, is sweet-sugar-spice-fig with just a bit of anise lurking in the background.

I really like both quite a lot, and think Athelia is destined to be my new favorite (for a while!).

Yay me!

3 new perfumes, and samples finally!

I added 3 new perfumes today to the shop. Finally got them photographed, described, and listed!

Gypsy - notes of hibiscus, rose, sandalwood, musk, and bay rum. Feminine and floral.

Delina - notes of lotus, amber, and red wine. Dark, beautiful scent.

1891 - notes of rum, amber, clove, wood and moss.

And samples! finally!

It feels so good to get a lot accomplished!!!

As requested..........

I've had a lot of convos asking me to carry roll on perfume in my shop. Good news... I ordered a gross of roll on bottles tonight. Should be in by the middle of next week. I'm really excited!

I have a new scent coming out tomorrow. It's reeeeaaallly nice!

foldedpigs - Repurposed Restaurant Ware

There are so many amazing and talented people on Etsy, and I spend WAY more time than I should browsing and coveting. Certain shops catch my eye and I return again and again. I've decided to share some of these fabulous shops in my blog.

One of my very favorites is foldedpigs. She repurposes restaurant plates, cups, etc., adds kick ass designs, and refires them for durability and permanence. Her stuff is completely awesome and I'm in LOVE LOVE LOVE with the Eat Your Heart Out dessert plate!!! Go check her out!!

New Cards and Random-ness

I got my new business cards! Wow, wow, wow. They are SO amazing. I'm waiting on complete contact info, so I can share it with anyone who might be in the market for cards. If you would like to contact him directly in the meantime (for samples and such), email to ragedesignz@gmail.com.

Ordered a BUNCH of perfume oils the other day (27, I think it was?). I was hoping to receive them by the weekend, but it doesn't look like that will happen. One never knows, though..... I'm also putting in an order this weekend for roll-on bottles. Next will be slimline black tubes. Gotta get that summer packaging underway!

I was reading an interview with a Featured Seller on Etsy and she said, "Never underestimate how much time your little shop will take." Boy, was she spot on. I eat, sleep and breathe Etsy (besides the full time job, kids, household, etc). But I love, love, love it.

Finally.

I got three new perfumes in the shop. They're all chocolate scented, and each comes in both oil and solid form. Maximo (spicy dark chocolate with patchouli), Aurora (chocolate coconut), and Natali (chocolate orange). They're all amazing, even the coconut... I usually HATE coconut.

I had another request for a "sampler," so I'm going to hit the store tonight and see if I can't find containers to do that. It's something that needs to be done anyway.... I have been reminding myself, but never get around to it.

Anyway, there will be more chocolate based perfumes listed this weekend hopefully.

Yum Yum Yum. New Valentine's Day goodies.

I'm thinking I'll be able to list some new V-Day stuff in my shop by the weekend. I'm really excited!! I don't want to give it all away, but just think decadence. Dessert-y, dark, rich yummy-ness. I don't normally do scents like this, but Valentine's Day is for treats, in my opinion. I'm also working on some "un-Valentines" for those who aren't exactly thrilled with the holiday.

A lot in the works!

Also, new summer packaging is underway. I'm trying to find the best option for keeping my products cool(er). Don't want anyone opening up melty goo. I've got several options..... just seeing which one excites me more!

My Xmas trip and the reason for late shipping. *sigh*

Ah, if only I would have stayed home. :-) Nobody's purchases would be late and I would have saved a TON of money!!!

The trip up ended up taking 18 hours due to inclement weather, mostly fog. The way home was 2 DAYS. We got stuck in Northern California because of snow.... right before the Cali/Oregon border. They closed I-5, so we had to pull off and get a hotel (which almost didn't happen, because *everyone else* had to do the same thing!

But I managed to get some photos. You can click on them to see a bit larger. Also, remember I am not Ansel Adams, and these were taken from a moving vehicle. :-)
