I need to make a batch of soap. I mean, I rreeeeaaallly need to. I'm toying with the scent, so I need some opinions. Here's what I'm working with - now mind you, these are the base scent only. I like everything completely convoluted, so just remember these are the primary notes.
And the contenders are:
Kumquat
Lavender
Red Tea
Passionfruit
Peach
Tattoo Soap (Rosemary, Geranium)
The only one I'm *really* iffy about is Lavender, because SO many people do a levender - why would anyone want mine? I'm really looking forward to reading what you have to say. C'mon people... HELP!!!

My vote would be for either red tea or passionfruit. Not a fan of lavender (makes me sneeze) and I don't think I have any idea what a kumquat smells like.

Oooh! I love peach! And hey, everyone uses lavender cause it's nice! The trick is finding something unique to go with it.
ohhh... really love the idea of rosemary and geranium - not keen on fruity smells but lavender done well is a winner :)

I'm a kumquat kinda gal...I just love that word. Red tea sounds interesting too...
Hmmmm.......... Maybe I'll mix all of them together. Just kiddin. If I can ever get these orders out, I'm going to try and make soap tomorrow. If there's anything you guys didn't see listed but sounds good, let me know. I'm all ears!!! And thanks for the feedback!
As a big fan of all essential oil combos instead of frangrance, why not Lavender, Rosemary & Geranium? xo Jen
I've always been curious about a real tea smelling soap... I love black teas: earl grey, chai tea, oolong, ... but then who knows what fragrance to add to the real tea....

I'm thinking, between emails and blog responses, red tea is winning. Now, if I could only find time to actually make a batch!!! I might try late tonight when everyone is sleeping. I'm stealth like that.
I love red tea. What about fruit teas?

It could be sweet, fresh or sophisticated.
- Would love your Tatoo soap if it contains Rosemary EO.
- Red Tea is nice, but if I have good memory, "Peepshow" was yet about Red Tea. Delicious soap, by the way.
- Lavender makes itch my skin. :(

Ahhh - you're right! I just sold completely out of Peepshow, so was thinking another take on the red tea might be nice. I AM thinking more fruity, though.
It's late in the game but I'm voting Red Tea, Roobios has such an interesting clean smell, but I'm a little biased I'm not real big on the fruity/foody smells.
