This morning I was blogging about a new soap, making plans to get Bella and next thing I know - BAM - broken foot. I'm lying in bed right now, hopped up on Vicodin, cast and all. Got some mean lacerations at the same time - opened my foot up almost to the bone.
One problem it's going to pose is my studio is down a long flight of stairs. And I need to work. Maybe I can scoot down the stairs on my butt -- and get a ride to the post office for mailing.
I can do this!!!

EDIT:
Okay, Joanna - here's the photo you requested. If anyone laughs at the poor state of my toenail polish, I'll kill 'em!!! This is before the cast was put on. You can't see how deep the cut is because of the blood. You can see how swollen my foot is, though!

i've been stalking your blog for a minute now, and i gotta tell ya: I'M THROWING MANY GOOD VIBES YOUR WAY!!
love your big cartel site by the way:)
Oh my goodness! Its all happening for you lately, isn't it? Take it easy. I'm so sorry to hear about your foot. How did it happen?
This HAS to be the third bad luck thing. You know: bad luck comes in threes?
No more. Now comes all good things for you. Chin up. Sunshine awaits you on the other side of pain.
I just know it.
to the bone? OK, now we need pictures. The morbid the merrier.
Thank you for appeasing me. I saw nothing gruesome whatsoever. In any case, I hope you are ok. No driving? How long in the cast, lady?
Right now I'm in a temp cast until I go see Ortho. Kinda scary - I was reading about this kind of break on the internet last night and people were saying it's not uncommon for it to take 7 months to heal - and many people need pins inserted to stabilize. That's what I get for looking around on the internet, huh?
Thanks everyone for the good wishes!!!
Oh deary! You need a serious vacation from bad karma!
Sage... Sage is your friend!
Are you ever going to get a break?! Please feel better and wishing you a speedy recovery!
